Hol­i­day cheer will be flow­ing through the heart of town with enter­tain­ment, food, music, games and even fire­works to mark the start of the fes­tive season! 

*A friend­ly reminder to all pet own­ers that there will be fire­works at 7:45pm.*

The car­ni­val will fea­ture three stages with live music and per­for­mances, includ­ing The Want­ed Gems, the Beaut Ukes and a host of choirs singing your favourite Christ­mas Car­ols. There will be plen­ty of food trucks and stalls and a spe­cial Christ­mas Retail Trail, giv­ing you the per­fect oppor­tu­ni­ty to find your Christ­mas gifts or to buy your­self a spe­cial hol­i­day treat.

Of course, the main event of the night will see the lights of the town Christ­mas Tree light up for the first time with one lucky young Cen­tralian get­ting the chance to flick the switch.

There are even rumours that San­ta Claus has his sleigh ready for a trip to the Red Cen­tre so be sure to be on your best behaviour!

“The Christ­mas Car­ni­val is one of our favourite events of the year, it real­ly is a time to all come togeth­er and cel­e­brate,” May­or Matt Pater­son said.

“The whole Coun­cil team bands togeth­er to put on a fan­tas­tic event. It real­ly is a great night and there’s some­thing for every­one. This time of year is all about cel­e­brat­ing what 2023 has been, and spend­ing time with friends and fam­i­ly. What bet­ter way than com­ing down and enjoy­ing the Christ­mas Carnival!”

The Christ­mas Car­ni­val will be held in the Todd Mall from 5 – 9pm. The light­ing of the tree will take place at 7:45pm with fire­works direct­ly after, so be sure to get your­self a good spot on the Coun­cil Lawns.
