Community Grants Program
Council’s annual Community Grants program aims to support community initiatives and encourage the ongoing social, cultural, recreational and environmental development of Alice Springs. Eligible organisations are those operating on a non-profit basis, or providing a project/service for non-commercial gain, or providing a project/service which adds value to the community.
How To Apply
- 2023 applications open on the Wednesday 25 January 2023 and close on Monday 27 February 2023.

Community Grants Information Session
Council’s Community Grants Information Session will provide an opportunity for community members to learn about Council’s Community Grants Program.
This will help applicants understand the grant categories and cover basic steps for applying. The information session will also cover an overview of the Todd Mall Activation Grant Program.
When: Monday 6 February from 5.30pm – 6.30pm

Todd Mall Activation Grants
Purpose
The Alice Springs Town Council are delivering a one-off grant round that aims to support non-for-profits, businesses, or individuals to develop new or existing projects that renew and transform the local Todd Mall precinct.
Overview
This grant program is designed to bring communities and consumers into the town’s local precinct to activate public spaces and
drive visitation.
Individuals can apply for a minimum amount of $1,000 to $2,500 (GST Inclusive) in funding.
Organisations/groups can apply for a minimum of $1,000 to $6,000 (GST Inclusive) in funding.
Key Dates
• Applications open 19 January 2023
• The grants program will close once funding has been exhausted.
• Applicants must deliver their project before 31 May 2023.
This grant program operates as exhaustive funding, and Council reserves the right to close the program once the available budget has been expended.

Sponsorship
In-kind Support
Assisting community organisations to deliver community activities and events with in-kind support, such as: provision of bins, mobile grandstand, chairs, fee waiver for cinema package hire, and much more. Council determines in-kind support on a case by case basis.
Event Sponsorship
Small cash sponsorships are available through Council’s Tourism, Events & Promotions Committee to assist in the development and staging of events and projects in Alice Springs. Council will determine sponsorship on a case by case basis.
- Eligible organisations are those operating on a non-profit basis, or providing a project/service for non-commercial gain, or providing a project/service which adds value to the community.
- Applications are not guaranteed funding.
Applications are currently open for events/projects delivered before 30 June 2023.
