A Pram Par­ty is an oppor­tu­ni­ty for par­ents of young chil­dren to have a laugh, maybe get a lit­tle out of their com­fort zone while learn­ing a begin­ner move and groove class and hope­ful­ly meet some­one new.

Time: 9 am to 9:45am

YOUTH PRO­GRAMS

You’ll also find an excit­ing range of youth-ori­ent­ed fit­ness pro­grams — we have reg­u­lar skate ses­sions at the skate park, box­ing fit­ness class­es and school hol­i­day sports and recre­ation activ­i­ties. See what’s on this week!

ASALC GYM

You also can do your own fit­ness rou­tine in the shad­ed Out­door Gym at ASALC. With a shoul­der press, cross train­er, arm bike, sta­tion­ary bike, par­al­lel bars, the options are end­less! Keep an eye out for the work­out of the week. Open dur­ing ASALC open­ing hours and cost of reg­u­lar ASALC Entry fee.

Baby…Set…Go! - Specif­i­cal­ly designed for new par­ents, these ses­sions pro­vide phys­i­cal and men­tal ben­e­fits as well as social sup­port. Bring your baby!

Keep You Mov­ing — Suit­able for peo­ple with chron­ic health con­di­tions, this class focus­es on strength, bal­ance, car­dio­vas­cu­lar and flex­i­bil­i­ty. A refer­ral from a GP or allied health pro­fes­sion­al is rec­om­mend­ed. Con­tact Get Phys­i­cal pri­or to your first class.

All Abil­i­ties - Designed for peo­ple with a dis­abil­i­ty and their car­ers. Par­tic­i­pate in a fun and inclu­sive exer­cise class!

All in Aqua - A fun filled class tar­get­ing all over body fit­ness incor­po­rat­ing resis­tance and func­tion­al fit­ness train­ing. Suit­able for peo­ple of all ages with mod­er­ate to high fit­ness levels.

Warm Water Exer­cise - This class is tar­get­ed to those with arthri­tis and oth­er mus­cu­loskele­tal conditions.

Active Aqua — Get your heart pump­ing and build fit­ness with this class. Suit­able for peo­ple of all ages with mod­er­ate to high fit­ness levels.

Heart Foun­da­tion Walk — This 45 – 60 minute, medi­um-paced walk is suit­able for peo­ple (and dogs on leash­es) of all ages and abil­i­ties. Leaves from the Andy McNeil Room, Alice Springs Town Coun­cil Civic Cen­tre, 93 Todd Street with the excep­tion of the last Sat­ur­day of the month.

Out­door Gym @ ASALC — DIY fit­ness rou­tine in the shad­ed Out­door Gym with a shoul­der press, cross train­er, arm bike, sta­tion­ary bike, par­al­lel bars and more.

Men’s Keep You Mov­ing — This is an exer­cise ses­sion suit­able for men of all ages and expe­ri­ence levels.

    Sport & Recreation

    Sport­ing and recre­ation­al groups ben­e­fit our local com­mu­ni­ty by cre­at­ing fun, var­ied oppor­tu­ni­ties to reg­u­lar­ly engage peo­ple, from all walks of life, in social activ­i­ty – and Alice Springs is a tru­ly sports-lov­ing town!

    From extreme moun­tain-bik­ing and trail-run­ning, to book clubs and lawn bowls, Alice has much to offer those seek­ing to con­tribute to the com­mu­ni­ty, improve their health and fit­ness, or expand their social network.

    Alice Springs has an active Heart Foun­da­tion Walk­ing Group which meet at Coun­cil’s Civic Cen­tre each Sat­ur­day at 7am with an end of month walk occur­ring at a dif­fer­ent loca­tion. This 45 – 60 minute, medi­um-paced walk is suit­able for peo­ple (and dogs on leash­es) of all ages and abil­i­ties.       Mul­ti­cul­tur­al Move­ment Month

      For 2025 we have moved Mul­ti­cul­tur­al Move­ment Month in col­lab­o­ra­tion with MCSCA to May to avoid the hot March weather! 🎉

      Keep an eye out for our amaz­ing line-up of free com­mu­ni­ty class­es every Sat­ur­day morn­ing for all of May. Begin­ner friend­ly, kids are wel­come and no reg­is­tra­tion required! Did we men­tion there will also be a free morn­ing tea between classes!
