Municipal Plan open for consultation

Now is your chance to have your say on the 2022/23 Alice Springs Town Council Municipal Plan, including the budget for the year ahead.
Alice Springs Town Council passed a draft version of the Municipal Plan at a Special Ordinary Council Meeting, with the Plan now available for public comment.
“The 14th Council are pleased to present the draft Municipal Plan for the 2022 – 23 financial year,” Mayor Matt Paterson said.
“As we reach the endemic phase of COVID-19, we still have a lot of work to do to recover from its economic effects in particular.
“Despite these challenges, Alice Springs Town Council is committed to being a dynamic and active one in the year ahead while increasing the liveability of our town.
“This Plan allows us to improve and expand our core services to the community while also delivering on a holistic level for our community.”
The draft Municipal Plan is now available for the public to access via the Alice Springs Town Council website. Printed copies are also available at the Civic Centre Reception, Alice Springs Public Library, Alice Springs Aquatic & Leisure Centre as well as the 50 Plus Community Centre.
Public consultation opens on Monday 30 May with all members of the public invited to submit their feedback. The consultation period closes on Monday 20 June. Feedback must be addressed to the CEO and can be submitted in written form at the Civic Centre Reception Desk or via email to astc@astc.nt.gov.au.
