Municipal Plan open for consultation

Now is your chance to have your say on the 2022/23 Alice Springs Town Council Municipal Plan, including the budget for the year ahead.

Alice Springs Town Coun­cil passed a draft ver­sion of the Munic­i­pal Plan at a Spe­cial Ordi­nary Coun­cil Meet­ing, with the Plan now avail­able for pub­lic comment. 

The 14th Coun­cil are pleased to present the draft Munic­i­pal Plan for the 2022 – 23 finan­cial year,” May­or Matt Pater­son said.

As we reach the endem­ic phase of COVID-19, we still have a lot of work to do to recov­er from its eco­nom­ic effects in particular. 

Despite these chal­lenges, Alice Springs Town Coun­cil is com­mit­ted to being a dynam­ic and active one in the year ahead while increas­ing the live­abil­i­ty of our town.

This Plan allows us to improve and expand our core ser­vices to the com­mu­ni­ty while also deliv­er­ing on a holis­tic lev­el for our community.” 

The draft Munic­i­pal Plan is now avail­able for the pub­lic to access via the Alice Springs Town Coun­cil web­site. Print­ed copies are also avail­able at the Civic Cen­tre Recep­tion, Alice Springs Pub­lic Library, Alice Springs Aquat­ic & Leisure Cen­tre as well as the 50 Plus Com­mu­ni­ty Centre. 

Pub­lic con­sul­ta­tion opens on Mon­day 30 May with all mem­bers of the pub­lic invit­ed to sub­mit their feed­back. The con­sul­ta­tion peri­od clos­es on Mon­day 20 June. Feed­back must be addressed to the CEO and can be sub­mit­ted in writ­ten form at the Civic Cen­tre Recep­tion Desk or via email to astc@​astc.​nt.​gov.​au.
