Centralian Awards nominations now open

Do you know someone extraordinary in Alice Springs? Maybe someone you know has gone out of their way to make the community a better place, or donates their time to those less fortunate? Well now is the time to give them some recognition thought the 2023 Centralian Awards!

The Cen­tralian Awards are hand­ed out at each Aus­tralia Day Flag Rais­ing and Cit­i­zen­ship Cer­e­mo­ny, cel­e­brat­ing the recip­i­ents’ sig­nif­i­cant con­tri­bu­tions to the Alice Springs com­mu­ni­ty. The big prize on the day is the famous Cen­tralian Cit­i­zen of the Year with all cat­e­gories for the 2023 awards cur­rent­ly being finalised. 

“We all know there are so many incred­i­ble peo­ple in Alice Springs, and the Cen­tralian Awards are a great way of recog­nis­ing some of those incred­i­ble peo­ple in our com­mu­ni­ty,” May­or Matt Pater­son said.

“Often these peo­ple are incred­i­bly hum­ble, so it’s up to you to ensure they receive they receive the cred­it they deserve. Make sure you put your nom­i­na­tions in today!”

Nom­i­na­tions for the 2023 Cen­tralian Awards are now open at https://​alice​springs​.nt​.gov​.au/​a​b​o​u​t​-​a​l​i​c​e​-​s​p​r​i​n​g​s​/​c​o​u​n​c​i​l​-​e​v​e​n​t​s​/​c​e​n​t​r​a​l​i​a​n​-​a​wards. Hard copies of the nom­i­na­tion form are also avail­able from the Civic Cen­tre Reception.
