The Oppor­tu­ni­ty

We seek an expe­ri­enced Mechan­ic who is respon­si­ble for the repair and main­te­nance of Council’s vehi­cles, plant, machin­ery and equip­ment in a safe work­ing con­di­tion. Under the gen­er­al direc­tion of the senior mechan­ic, ensure all main­te­nance and repairs are car­ried out in accor­dance with appro­pri­ate main­te­nance sched­ules. Con­tribute to the plan­ning and exe­cu­tion of work in an effec­tive and effi­cient man­ner, lim­it waste and ensure accu­rate records are maintained.

Your respon­si­bil­i­ties will include ensure that all plant, vehi­cles equip­ment and tools are main­tained in a safe and oper­a­tional man­ner, includ­ing tyres, as per spec­i­fi­ca­tion and WHS reg­u­la­tions and repair and main­tain a wide range of Coun­cil plant, machin­ery and equip­ment includ­ing the spe­cial­ist C‑Bus sys­tem for the road sweep­er and main­tain accu­rate dai­ly work records and report issues includ­ing nec­es­sary repairs to Super­vi­sor in a time­ly manner.
