The Opportunity
We seek a trainee who needs to learn how to operate machinery including a water truck, front end loader and hook bin truck at Council’s Regional Waste Management Facility (RWMF) and able to obtain a heavy rigid (HR) licence.
Your responsibilities will consist of learning to competently operate the following machinery, assist in the conversion of green waste to mulch, aid in organizing stockpile and sort non-compactable waste (i.e. metal, concrete, etc. ), help to maintain equipment including daily pre-operation checks and performance of minor repairs, work safely following supervisors’ instructions and Council policies and procedures and behave according to Council’s Code of Conduct including treating the general public with respect.
