It’s the 1940s. Location, Narwietooma Station.

It’s Daphne (Campbell) Calder filmed on Narwietooma Station galloping in front of low flying DC3 aircraft in her role as Mary Parsons in The Overlanders, a classic Australian movie which hit the screens in 1946.

A classic cattle drive across 3 states, Aboriginal stockmen, some baddies, ever watchful crocodiles, a possible Japanese invasion & of course Outback romance…The Overlanders has got the lot!

AND…we’ve got a copy of the movie. Join us for this classic movie showing as part of Heritage Week celebrations this coming Wednesday evening on site at the Central Australian Aviation Museum.
