The Youth Recy­cled Arts Prize is a free art com­pe­ti­tion that encour­ages peo­ple aged 12 to 25 with the abil­i­ty to get cre­ative with sec­ond hand or recy­cled mate­ri­als and con­vert them into a piece of art!

Free Mate­ri­als from the Tip Shop!

To assist, par­tic­i­pants will have lim­it­ed free access to a range of recy­cled mate­ri­als from the ASTC Redis­cov­ery Cen­tre to help build the cre­ative juices and offer mate­ri­als to sup­port their artis­tic works.

The Youth Recy­cled Arts Prize offers prizes for the best cre­ative art works and gives young peo­ple an oppor­tu­ni­ty for their work to be exhib­it­ed and judged in a series of categories!

This year’s cat­e­gories are:

• 12 – 14yrs
• 15 – 18 yrs
• 18+
• People’s Choice Award
• Open Cat­e­go­ry All Abilities
• Paper Cre­ations — High­light­ing Sec­ond Hand Books

The People’s Choice Award is deter­mined on the most pop­u­lar vot­ed art piece across all age groups. 

Free work­shops will be run to encour­age artis­tic flow and to pro­vide hints, tips, and sug­ges­tions on emerg­ing works as they progress toward the final prod­uct — want to join in? Just get in touch! ydo@​astc.​nt.​gov.​au

So this is a call out to all our bud­ding young artists and cre­ative sparks alike, to get involved and reg­is­ter for the excit­ing 2025 Youth Recy­cled Arts Prize for their chance to work with a lead­ing artist through access to work­shops, and to have their work exhib­it­ed, judged and award­ed a prize.
