Join us for an engag­ing and prac­ti­cal work­shop on Min­imis­ing & Man­ag­ing Home Food Waste, where you’ll learn sim­ple yet effec­tive strate­gies to reduce food waste in your house­hold. Dis­cov­er smart food waste reduc­tion strate­gies, includ­ing meal plan­ning, prop­er food stor­age, and cre­ative ways to use leftovers.

We’ll also explore dif­fer­ent com­post­ing meth­ods—cold com­post­ing, worm farms, and Bokashi bins—to help you find the best sys­tem for your home. Whether you’re new to com­post­ing or look­ing to refine your approach, this ses­sion will pro­vide insights into what works best for dif­fer­ent lifestyles and spaces.

Come along and gain the knowl­edge and con­fi­dence to make a pos­i­tive envi­ron­men­tal impact, right from your own kitchen!

Facil­ia­tor Bio:

Kaz is a qual­i­fied Com­mu­ni­ty Devel­op­ment Work­er and Train­er with exten­sive and diverse work expe­ri­ence with­in the com­mu­ni­ty sec­tor, includ­ing work in the home­less­ness, gen­der based vio­lence, women’s health, men­tal health and set­tle­ment sec­tors. Her life­long pas­sion for edi­ble gar­den­ing is influ­enced by regen­er­a­tive per­ma­cul­ture design prin­ci­ples and her pro­fes­sion­al prac­tice is informed by human rights, social jus­tice and fem­i­nist prin­ci­ples and analysis.
