Then pilots, John Myers & David (Freddo) Frederiksen will recount their story of flying as Tracy intensified, restoring communications to the outside world on Xmas morning & assisting with Darwin evacuations.
Alice became a point of refuge for 5000 people making their way south. Locals raised money, provided food & beds, checked cars & medical checks were given as required. Hear all about it from Damian Ryan, who was on the ground helping in Alice & Barry Chamber, a Darwin evacuee. See you there.
