Big Day Out in Harmony 

Join Alice Springs Town Coun­cil and Mul­ti­cul­tur­al Ser­vices of Cen­tral Aus­tralia to cel­e­brate our diverse community!

Each year, Mul­ti­cul­tur­al Com­mu­ni­ty Ser­vices of Cen­tral Aus­tralia invites all the local mul­ti­cul­tur­al groups and asso­ci­a­tions to par­tic­i­pate in the event and share some of their cul­ture with the wider com­mu­ni­ty. After months of rehearsals, it comes togeth­er on a day filled with colours, sounds, fra­grances and tastes from across the world.

Immy Owusu

Described as ​“The Very Def­i­n­i­tion Of Cul­ture Clash” by Don Letts (BBC Radio), Immy’s ​‘Afrode­lik’ music draws influ­ences from Psy­che­delia, Zam­rock and High­life. His debut album LO-LIFE!, cre­at­ed with mem­bers of Sur­prise Chef, Karate Booga­loo, and The Senegam­bian Jazz band, was album of the week on PBS, SYN and French Inde­pen­dent Radio.

Recent­ly vot­ed Music Victoria’s 2023 Best Musi­cian and Nom­i­nat­ed for Best Region­al Act, Owusu is an upcom­ing force to keep an eye on.

Lunar New Year Pop Up Party

The first Lunar New Year Pop Up Par­ty was held on the 23 Feb 2024 down the Todd Mall! It involved delec­table food, cel­e­bra­to­ry crafts, and cap­ti­vat­ing lion dance per­for­mances.
