An Interview with the Artist

Travelling has a whimsical quality to it. A mythical bird, levitates, rather than flies, across the desert landscape, carrying a boat-shaped vessel on its head. From within this vessel, two heads look up. There is a slight unease and anxious expression on their faces, perhaps looking up for reassurance or a sign of where they may be going. As an artist, I often explore how the external world meets the internal, where the realm of reality and imagination blurs and where new conjunctions and possibilities lie hidden.

My creative practice, predominately drawing and printmaking, is sustained and inspired by the natural environment that surrounds me. It is always centered in place/country/landscape.
