The original artwork is a watercolour painting on paper, which was completed over three days.

The landscape and colours of the Centre inspires me to paint them and Ormiston Gorge is one of my favourite sites. It is dramatic, with its steep and sloping walls heightened by the colours and ruggedness, contrasted by the tranquillity of the waterhole.

As part of the Alice Springs Street Art Project, the painting was chosen by the Visitor’s Centre through Red Hots Arts to be used as a window wrap on their building. The Visitor Centre is situated on Todd Mall and the window wrap is on the Parsons Street side of the building.

I am delighted that my painting was chosen and it is great to see it displayed on a big scale.
