Arranged on the pole at different heights according to flood levels are a burrowing frog, shield shrimp and spangled grunter. These are all creatures unique to Central Australia that rely on flooding of the region to multiply and are not normally thought of to be in a desert landscape. At the base of the marker is information on the impact of flooding on each of these creatures. This artwork was commissioned by Alice Springs Town Council.
