The murals contain elements such as wild tomatoes, a perentie lizard, corkwood honey, a bush banana, a bearded dragon, witchetty grubs, kangaroos and a bush turkey. The mural was designed and painted mainly by local Central Arrernte women and was carried out in a style closely associated with the Namatjira school of water colourists. It carries a message of the health advantages of bush foods and provides a reminder that there are two cultural systems of environmental knowledge co-existing in Mparntwe.
