The Opportunity
We seek an experienced Library Officer, who demonstrate a socially inclusive community focus by providing effective, efficient customer service to the Alice Springs community and library users. The position also supervises functional operation of the library on weekends.
Your responsibilities will be included but not limited to provide excellent customer service to library customers through shifts on the library floor and information desk, supervise casual staff and the operation of the library on weekends including Warden Evacuation duties and operation of communication equipment, carry out library duties including opening & closing procedures, shelving, shelf reading, collection maintenance, end processing and repairs of library resources.

- Attractive salary starting at Level 3.1 (MO) $82,671.66 p/a on pro-rata basis plus 11.5% superannuation and district allowance — $2611 w/dependents, $1498 w/o dependents
- 6 weeks annual leave with additional generous leave entitlements (annual leave is paid at the employee’s ordinary hourly rate together with a leave loading of 17.5%) + 3 weeks personal leave on pro-rata basis.
