The Opportunity
We seek an experienced Work Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to maintain strong operational compliance and continuous improvement of the safety culture within the Council.
You will lead manage and drive continuous improvement of WHS systems, policy, and procedures for the Council, Implement, oversee, and manage the Council’s WHS management system for compliance, performance measures, and regular reporting, and Undertaking ongoing training needs analysis, write, develop, implement, and provide training in appropriate processes and systems for monitoring and communicating hazards and risks to Council’s workforce including the Executive and Elected Members where required.
The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective whole of organization workplace health and
safety system, monitoring the safety of workplace environments and identifying risks and hazards to minimise the Council’s exposure to risk and ongoing training needs analysis relating to WHS and the development, deliver and coordination of WHS-related training to the Council’s workforce including the Executive and Elected Members where required.
