The Opportunity
We seek an experienced Procurement Officer to coordinate Council-wide procurement activities using a holistic and consistent approach, processes, and procedures to ensure the Council upholds the high standards of accountability and transparency in its services.
You will facilitate tendering processes and manage sourcing initiatives, establishing strategic and operational contracts and supply management strategies that minimize risk and achieve the best value to meet the Council’s business needs.
Your responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and coordinating procurement processes and procedures for Council purchasing and tendering including preparing reports and liaising with Council’s internal auditors and project managers as to timing and appropriate deadlines, and Coordinate value for money annual supply contracts and multi-year contracts as required for the timely and effective delivery of services and infrastructure.
