Alice Springs Town Council is seeking a mechanic who enjoys working unsupervised and also a part of a team.
This position will be advertised until filled.
This role is responsible working within the Municipal Services department, the position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Council’s vehicles, plant, machinery and equipment in a safe working condition. Under the general direction of the senior mechanic, ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out in accordance with appropriate maintenance schedules. Contribute to the planning and execution of work in an effective and efficient manner, limit waste and ensure accurate records are maintained.
