Manager Library Services

Alice Springs Town Council is seeking an innovative and experienced leader to manage day-to-day operations of the Alice Springs Public Library to provide a high-quality accessible library and information service to its diverse users. The role will coordinate staff to deliver an excellent customer service provision, inclusive community engagement programs, as well as oversee collection development upholding exceptional standards and processes. This position plays an integral role in contributing towards the strategic development of the library service, consulting with community and key stakeholders and ensuring the alignment to Council commitments, priorities and budgets.
With your proven leadership and high-level communication skills, you will be an authentic and agile manager with demonstrated experience leading customer-focused teams in dynamic working environments. You will enjoy problem solving, analytical decision-making, creating spaces for innovation, and have experience in the leadership of change. You will be passionate about developing people, library innovation and continuous improvement. Demonstrated experience in facility management, strategic planning and budget control is of an advantage.
