Open Space community consultation
Posted on 28 Jul, 2014
Alice Springs Town Council is inviting the community to give it’s feedback on the recently released Open Space Network Master Plan.
“Parks are very important in our community and Council wants to ensure we have it right.” Said Mayor Ryan
“We are genuinely appealing to the community for their views on this document and its recommendations. So we are putting this document out for community consultation for the next two months.” Said Mayor Ryan.
The Open Space Network Master Plan, now available from Council’s website, has four recommendations (page 86 to 92) to which Council is specifically seeking the community’s order of preference and views on.
“This is the first time Council has used the online community consultation option making it easier than ever to give Council your feedback, so we are looking forward to an across the board response.” Said CEO Rex Mooney
The community is actively encouraged to go to Council’s website www.alicesprings.nt.gov.au and click on the community consultation section on the home page to review the document and provide feedback. Consultation is open from midday 28 July and closes 5pm Tuesday 30 September 2014.
