12th council swearing-in ceremony
The community is invited to attend the official swearing-in ceremony for the 12th Alice Springs Town Council, to be held Monday 16 April 2012 at 6pm.
Rex Mooney Council CEO said “We invite the community to come along and welcome in the newly Elected Councillors.”
“The official ceremony will commence at 6pm sharp and will conclude with some light refreshments. Following this the Council will then reconvene for the first Ordinary and Committee meetings of the 12th Council.” said Mr Mooney.

When: Monday 16 April 2012 at 6pm sharp
Where: Council Chamber at the Civic Centre on Todd Street.
A full list of the 12th Council, please note the title change to Councillor (not Aldermen)
- Mayor Damien Ryan, Councillor Geoffrey Booth, Councillor Steve Brown, Councillor Dave Douglas, Councillor Brendan Heenan, Councillor Jade Kudrenko, Councillor Liz Martin, Councillor Eli Melky and Councillor Chansey Paech.
The Deputy Mayor and Committee Chairs will be determined at this meeting.
Council is delighted that the Minister for Local Government, Hon. Malarndirri McCarthy, MLA will officiate at the Ceremony.
