As of today the Alice Springs Todd Mall will get a new display screen designed to promote community awareness, messages and events.

Mayor Damien Ryan said “This screen is a welcome addition to the atmosphere of the Mall and it can be used for a variety of formats.”

The screen has been specially designed to perform in an outdoor environment and the vandal resistant casing has been specifically designed to house the unit securely.

The Northern Territory Government provided a special purpose grant of $30 000 to the project.

The screen has various capabilities and will help in promoting tourism and community event, via the Council’s Community Calendar.  Eventually the screen will provide a interactive experience for tourist and local alike.
