Alice Springs is a unique melting pot of rurality and diversity, and this is your opportunity to contribute to important student research into mapping lives and experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community. Complete the online questionnaire, or arrange an interview with me in-person (23-30 January) to tell your story! Please note you must be aged 18+ to contribute to this research.

Opportunity to contribute to student research!

The heart of this research is mapping lives and experiences of LGBTQIA+ community that have been erased.

Alice Springs is a unique melting pot of rurality and diversity. I hope to glean insights of what living rurally and queer is like for locals in Alice, canvassing this in research to demonstrate the importance of documenting and validating intersectional gender and sexual diversity. The Australian government did not collect sexual or gender identity for the most recent census, this research will demonstrate the riches of queerness that exists and is thriving in the centre of the country.

Please contact Meg at hello_lgbtq_alice@outlook.com to tee-up a time and place that suits you!

Please note you must be 18+ to contribute to this research. Interviews will run for approx. 1 hour and is a laid back opportunity to tell your story.

The report will be completed approx. mid-2023
