Welcome to the very first Alice Springs Community Health Forum, a space where healthy discussion can be shared, on all aspects of Health, Fitness and Wellbeing. Our first guest speakers are two beautiful ladies who share a joyful friendship based upon common interersts, hobbies and experiences. Firstly, Roxanne Highfold. She's a proud and strong woman who has spent many years in the Indigenous Health sector, including collating data and research on indigenous health issues. She's currently studying a university degree in Nutrition whilst working full time at the Central Land Council. Roxanne loves gardening, cooking and exercising because she knows how important it is to lead by example. She'll be discussing what it takes to 'decolonise' the Australian diet. Our second guest is the beautiful Walbira Murray. Another woman of heart-felt substance who has been connected to indigenous health and wellbeing for many years. Walbira loves to connect to Mother Earth through her love of gardening and flavoursome cooking, using what her loving heart and hands produce from her own garden. Walbira is a true Recycled Fashion - Fashionista. She loves finding amazing bargains at the second hand stores, and there's no hunting involved either. Only gratitude and love for the treasures she uncovers. The event is free but registration is required due to limited seating arrangments.
