CBD revitalisation plans on public display

CBD REVITALISATION PLANS ON PUBLIC DISPLAY

Alice Springs Town Council would like to advise the community that the proposed CBD Revitalisation plans are now open for public comment.

Mayor Damien Ryan said, “Because much of the plans involve public places we really wanted to get the whole community’s views on this.”

“It’s an opportunity to literally help shapeAlice Springs!  So if you have some constructive comments on the plans, we’re eager to hear them.”  Said Mayor Ryan.

All submissions must be made in writing addressed to the Alice Springs Town Council - Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 1071 Alice Springs, NT 0871 by COB Friday 11 November 2011.

The plans can be viewed at the Civic Centre or via Council’s website www.alicesprings.nt.gov.au.

The project team presented 6 projects at the community meeting held recently and now the plans will be put on public display for 28 days from Friday 14 October 2011.
