Volunteering in Alice Springs

Alice Springs Town Coun­cil val­ues the impor­tant role of vol­un­teers in encour­ag­ing social cohe­sion, bring­ing pos­i­tive change, and fos­ter­ing a true sense of com­mu­ni­ty across Alice Springs. 

Coun­cil cur­rent­ly has vol­un­teer oppor­tu­ni­ties at the Alice Springs Pub­lic Library and with the Youth Action Group.

Coun­cil has also sev­er­al advi­so­ry com­mit­tees that peo­ple can vol­un­teer on as gen­er­al mem­bers, and pro­vide their input and ideas into 

Council’s deci­sion mak­ing in a range of areas, such as seniors, pub­lic art, parks and accessibility. 

Vol­un­teer­ing NT, the peak body for vol­un­teer­ing in Alice Springs, has a staff mem­ber in Alice Springs and can pro­vide direct refer­rals to vol­un­teer­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties in Alice Springs.
