Robert Jennings — Chief Executive Officer
Robert is the CEO of Alice Springs Town Council and prior to this was the CEO of Katherine Town Council for four and a half years. He has served as an executive officer in local government across three states and territories and is a member of the Northern Territory Planning Commission. Prior to this time, Robert worked in the private sector for a national sustainable development company and as a Registered Architect.
Robert is also a member of Regional Development Australia NT, is educated as an architect and economist and has an extensive international background. He has a personal commitment to integrity, excellence, innovation and service to the Council and to the Alice Springs community and its region.
Robert has over twenty two years’ experience across a wide range of fields including government, infrastructure, project management, sustainability and alternative energy, emergency management, land development, urban planning and architecture, construction and community and economic development. Robert specialises in the development and implementation of shared strategic plans, enriching relationships and the delivery of diverse and complex projects.
Sabine Taylor — Director Corporate Services
Sabine comes to Alice Springs from New South Wales where she previously held executive leadership positions within the private sector. Her vast and relevant experience includes strategy development and delivery within highly regulated environments, reporting to government and statutory authorities, advocacy on behalf of members, legal and contractual focus, board experience and high level stakeholder engagement. She has lead large teams, managed public funds and has an extensive background in corporate services.
In her most recent role she was responsible for Australia’s largest corporate superannuation fund with approximately 95,000 members and over $20 billion in funds under management. She has experience in leading transformational change and taking teams on the journey, working collaboratively and ensuring change for the right reasons.
Sabine’s strong background in corporate services includes executive leadership roles at Commonwealth Bank Australia, UniSuper, AMP and MLC for example. As well as previous roles such as Chairman of the Board for NRMA Employees Credit Union, Director Crime Stoppers NSW and Chief Operating Officer at RISQ Group.

Scott Allen — Director Technical Services
Scott was born in Toowoomba and grew up in Oakey, Queensland, also spending time living in England on a number of occasions whilst playing cricket.
Scott is a greenkeeper by trade. He has undertaken further studies, most recently achieving a Graduate Certificate in Local Government Leadership. Scott also has several diplomas in turf-related areas.
Scott started his local government career at the Toowoomba City Council. He commenced work with Alice Springs Town Council in October 2007 as the Supervisor Parks and Gardens. Scott was the Manager Works for a number of years before being appointed as Director Technical Services.
Scott and his wife Michelle have two daughters and a son. Having worked in local government for a significant period, Scott enjoys the ability to make a difference in his and his family’s community.
Scott enjoys all sports, especially cricket and rugby league, and a passionate supporter of Queensland in every sporting arena.
Kim Sutton — Director Community Development
Kim Sutton grew up in a regional town and is pleased to be returning to the idyllic lifestyle of regional Australia.
Kim has taken on the role of Director of Community Development at Alice Springs Town Council after moving across from Queensland with her husband and two children. Kim’s career has been dedicated to community development with over 20 years experience, both internationally and in Australia. She brings a wealth of knowledge from senior leadership roles with organisations such as RACQ Life Flight, Gold Coast Hospital Foundation, Oxfam Australia, Action for Children and Holborn Youth Association.
With considerable experience in community development, and a strong community and corporate sector history, Kim has a focus in areas such as youth, social improvement and program coordination. She has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science and is an Australian Institute of Company Directors graduate.
Kim enjoys hiking and photography. She is very much appreciating the Alice Springs landscapes with her young family, when not busy playing weekend sport.
