Alice Springs Town Council is dedicated to thinking environmentally and paving a bright future for Alice Springs and its residents.
Alice Springs Town Council then crushes this glass at the Council's glass crushing facility, officially opened in June 2010, and uses this in non load bearing cements across the municipality such as footpaths.

Waste Management: The Council’s Waste Management Facility in Commonage Road provides a range of services including organic (greenwaste) recycling, best practice fill and compaction techniques, data collection capabilities.
Disposal of Chemicals: Unwanted household products such as paint, cleaners and pesticides must not be placed in your regular waste or recycling bins.
Kerbside Collection: Alice Springs Town Council, in conjunction with the kerbside collection contractor, provides a domestic waste collection service in the Alice Springs community.
Pensioner Pruning Pickup Service: Council runs a free garden waste collection service for senior residents in May and November each year.
